We’re looking for a Construction Consultant / Field Inspector, who will reside within driving proximity of Tampa, FL. Split time between working at home and visiting construction sites in and around the Tampa, FL area (3-hour driving radius typical). Most sites would be within a reasonable driving distance although there may be the need to fly on occasion. The right candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as well as an Architecture or Engineering degree (this is a deal breaker and those who don’t meet this requirement won’t be considered).

• Generate energy models and carbon footprint analysis for multifamily properties, ensuring deliverables meet programmatic standards.

• Understand energy modeling requirements and ASHRAE 90.1 simulation guidelines for various NYC and NYS programs

• Review construction drawings and project specifications for program compliance.

• Prepare energy savings calculations and analysis and evaluate building energy efficiency measures (EEMs) considering eligible incentive programs.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation for completeness and consistency.

• Review project budgets, cost estimates, bids, schedules of values, and change orders.

• Identify scope gaps, conflicting information, quantity errors, and potential cost risks.

• Evaluate construction plans for constructability, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.

• Prepare clear review comments, cost analyses, and technical reports.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to project teams, owners, architects, and contractors.

• Support construction risk assessments and provide value-engineering recommendations when appropriate.
